I was very flattered when Steve and Julia, whose engagement photos I had previously taken, asked me to take photos at their engagement part this past weekend in Houston. It was Julia's parents first time being in Houston, and Steve's parents had a few welcoming surpises in store. It was a great event, and I was happy to e able to photograph it for them.
A rainy Wedding
They say rain on your wedding day brings good luck, and while this couple may not have wished for this rainy luck, they were able to scramble their outdoor wedding plans into a nice ceremony, I was happy to photograph it for them. Congrats to the bride and groom and their families!
The full gallery will be available soon.
A few family pictures this weekend
The weather was pretty grey in Houston on Sunday, but we still found a few places to snap a few shots of Colton and his siblings for his mom.
Pictures can be ordered by clicking HERE!

Congrats Jessica!
A friend of mine, Jessica Dehnert, graduated from the Harris County Sheriff's Office basic peace officer academy yesterday, following in her mother's footsteps. After the ceremony, I had the pleasure of taking a couple of family pictures for her and her family. Congrats Jessica!

Headshots, Headshots
There are a variety of headshot styles which are dependent on the need for the picture. Lawyers, doctors, and authors all can have various images they need to project to their patients and clients and a well thought out headshot can help deliver the desired message.
During the superbowl, I wanted to test out some new flashes I received, and I had two willing victims, I mean participants during commercial breaks. These two pictures of my friends Raymond and Jake, which have not be heavily re-touched, were shot using "clam shell" lighting which is popular in fashion and magazine shoots.
If you need headshots in the Houston area, give me a call, and let me help you deliver the message you want your potential customers to see.
A morning walk on the bayou
Houston a sprawling urban spread of city and suburbs, but I often forget about some of the awesome green spaces and public trails we have. Within walking distance of my house is Buffalo Bayou.
This morning I took the demon on a walk through Spotts Park onto the bayou, and the weather couldn't have been better.
Along the way, I was stopped by a reporter from an Atlanta TV station visiting for the super bowl. He wanted to interview local Houstonians for their tv coverage, which I declined (sorry to my ATL cousins).
Harris County SO Promotions
This past Thursday, I had the pleasure of attending the promotion ceremony for the Harris County Sheriff's Office where the new Sheriff, Ed Gonzalez, introduced his command staff. Dozens of deputies were also promoted to various ranks.
Steve and Julia
My good friend Steve and his fiancé Julia are very excited for their wedding later this year in Montreal, but were happy to have a few engagement snaps taken here in Steve's hometown, Houston.
A quick drive to Galveston
The Friday after Thanksgiving left me a day off (a rare miracle), so my friends Ryan, Desiree, and myself decided to take the demon, my dog Mowgli, on his first trip to the beach. Desiree performs with the Rockets Power Dancers, and is about to move away for Vet School. The weather was not the best, but the cloud cover provided some soft light to take a few last snaps of Des before her move.
After hanging out on the beach for awhile, we headed to one of my favorite places to eat in Galveston: Olympia Grill at Pier 21. Their patio is dog friendly, and we were seated quickly, even though we were busy. We were lucky enough to spot a few dolphins in the harbor from our seats.
